Writing

I’m a creative writer of stories, poems and longer stuff too. Most recently completed is a fictionalised memoir about my years living in remotest West Cornwall and my love affair with the place:  the stone circles, the beaches, the bluebell woods and the eccentric people. There’s a whole lot about local legends in the book too.

Oh, and recipes. In Cornwall I worked as a chef so the food I invented feels all bound up with the sea and the moors and the myths of King Arthur.

That book is sitting with my agent at the moment. Awaiting a publisher. So if you’re interested, drop me a line!

I also write reviews and articles, some on food. And do copywriting to keep the wolf from the door. Actually I’m so used to the wolf I’ve got rather fond of him. I generally invite him in for a cup of Earl Grey and some homemade ginger biscuits. That keeps him quiet.
